ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٣
The Beneficent, the Merciful.

Al-Fatihah, Ayah 3
The Opening
Allah repeats His attributes of mercy immediately after establishing His lordship, so that the servant approaches Him with love and hope, not only awe.

- Ayah 1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
- Ayah 2ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
- Ayah 4مَٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Master of the Day of Judgment,
- Ayah 5إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
