أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْۚ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ مُجْرِمِينَ ٣٧
Are they superior to the people of Tubba’ and those before them? We destroyed them ˹all˺, ˹for˺ they were truly wicked

- Ayah 35إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ
“There is nothing beyond our first death, and we will never be resurrected
- Ayah 36فَأْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Bring ˹back˺ our forefathers, if what you say is true.”
- Ayah 38وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ
We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything in between for sport
- Ayah 39مَا خَلَقْنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
We only created them for a purpose, but most of these ˹pagans˺ do not know
